The Journal of Nutrition, Fasting and Health (JNFH) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides publication of articles quarterly in a different areas of nutrition such as clinical nutrition, community nutrition and nutrigenomics nutrition, and also all aspects of fasting in health and diseases such as intermittent fasting, fasting health benefits, water fasting and religious fasting. This journal is published by the Department of Nutrition in Mashhad Medical School, and sponsored by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), Mashhad, Iran.

To make freely public accessibility to research with the aim of greater global exchange of knowledge, this journal provides open access to its published articles. Currently, publishing an article in “Journal of Nutrition, Fasting and Health” is free of charge Adverts would only be considered in relation to food sciences and nutrition. Editorial office will approve or disapprove the adverts in this regard.
JNFH in house codes of conduct are based on a double-blind peer review process (authors and reviewers) and a final decision is made by the editorial office.Editors, authors, and reviewers should disclose, at the time of submission, information on financial conflicts of interest or other interests that may influence the manuscript. Editors, employees, or members of the editorial board are excluded from the review process in case of authorship of an article as well. JNFH editors will assess the plagiarism and duplication of the submitted manuscripts, if it becomes evident such manuscripts will not be considered for publication in JNFH.
“Journal of Nutrition,Fasting and Health” is an e-journal and we cannot provide the authors with printed version. Therefore, in case, you can download and print the PDF version of articles. All Articles published in the “Journal of Nutrition, Fasting and Health” are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 International License which allows users including authors of articles to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, in addition to remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, as long as the author and original source are properly cited or credited.
Journal Policies On Data Sharing and Reproducibility The "Journal of Nutrition, Fasting and Health" is an open access journal. The published papers are accessible to readers at no cost. The published content can be printed and distributed by readers unless the journal and authors are cited correctly. The journal and authors have the right to take necessary actions if the publication ethics are violated while distributing the published content of the journal.
As the Journal of Nutrition Fasting and Health does not have the ownership of data used to prepare manuscripts, data could be obtained through written request from the corresponding author of the manuscript of interest.
Advertising Policy The Journal of Nutrition Fasting and Health accepts advertisements as online content with links to the advertiser website. New advertisers or companies should submit a written advertisement enquiry to the chief editor of the Nutrition Fasting and Health (link). The advertisement content will be reviewed by the chief editor or the publisher if needed. In case of acceptance, advertisement fees are negotiated between the advertiser and chief editor. Advertisement will be presented online after an agreement is signed between the journal and the advertiser. The journal of Nutrition Fasting and Health accepts advertisements that are relevant to the journal scope, including but not limited to nutrition supplements and products; weight loss medications, body contouring devices, anthropometric measurement technology, and functional foods. All advertised nutrition products and instruments should have the required approval by the Food and Drug Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran or related organizations or administrations. The journal might require further academic publication and evidence regarding the advertised claims. Advertised products should not be accompanied with exaggerated content, including miraculous effects. All advertisements should follow the codes of ethics and advertisement laws of the Islamic republic of Iran and should not be related to products or instruments that harm human body at any shape, including alcohol, cigarette, pornographic products, sexual, religious and politically discriminating content, as well as prohibited products, services, or devices by the national laws. Advertisements are separate from the journal content and does not indicate product approval by neither the journal nor the publisher. Advertiser’s logo should be distinguishable from the journal logo and content. Furthermore, advertisers do not and should not influence editors, reviewers and other journal staff in the process of peer review and publication of manuscripts. Advertisements that use visitor information without their consent or link them to websites without visiting the advertisement link will be withdrawn. Advertisements will not be presented in pages that include articles that are relevant with the advertised content. The chief editor and the publisher have the right to withdraw advertisements that violate the advertising policy of the journal at any time.

Digital Archiving: In addition to indexing database this journal utilizes digital archive via Eprint Repository to guarantee long-term digital preservation and restoration.
ISSN The current online ISSN of the Journal of Nutrition, Fasting and Health is 2821-2746. The previous online ISSN for the last title was 2587-2345; and the new number has been assigned after changing the title of the Journal from “Journal of Fasting and Health” to “Journal of Nutrition, Fasting and Health”.
